EGO in Düsseldorf (October 3, 1998 to August 26, 2000)

was not designed to be a club but rather as a non-commercial space run by a handful of enthusiastic artists, combining musical live events and DJ nights with short-term exhibitions and constantly varying design, including “entrance-engineering” for each evening.

Currently the project’s focus is shifted from organizing live events to documentary work such as compiling material from the audio archive for the EGO compilation CD and setting up a structure for a future web-based audio archive.

EGO live is now no longer accessible but will find another form and space later in time for the ongoing idea of creating a special place for the performance and perception of electronic music.
